Paying for College

We want our students to succeed in every aspect of their college career. Having a plan for paying for their education will help with that success. We will take an interactive approach to looking at the educational costs as well as the payment options that are available. Presented by the Financial Aid Office and Student Accounts Office. This session was offered on June 5, June 22, July 1 and August 3.

University Housing

Our University Housing team provides information regarding the residence hall move-in process as well as the support network available to students within the residence hall community. This session was offered on July 13.

Commuter Resources

Learn about resources and networks to help commuter students begin their journey at UW-Whitewater. This session is intended for incoming commuter students and their family members. This session was offered on July 13.

Student Diversity, Engagement & Success

After this session participants will have knowledge of High Impact Practices such as undergraduate research, global experiences, identity based programs, etc., offered at UW-Whitewater. Various funding opportunities are also discussed. This session was offered on July 17.

University Health & Counseling Services

Learn about how students can access health, counseling, and wellness services on campus at the Ambrose Health Center. Types of services, staff credentials, medications, and costs are reviewed. This session was offered on July 20.

So You've Gone to Class, Now What?!

Leverage time well-spent outside of class for your career. Information is provided on student oranizations, involvement opportunities, career and job resources, and more! This session was offered on July 22.

University Police

The University Police Department at UW-Whitewater serves our campus-wide community. Hear from our University Police Officers about campus safety, services offered, and parking permit information. This session was offered on July 24.

Technology

Our Instructional, Communication & Information Technology (ICIT) team will provide details on available technology tools, resources, services and support that are geared to help UW-Whitewater students succeed on and off of campus.  There are also tips provided on how to excel in virtual or remote learning. This session was offered on July 27.

Supporting First Generation College Students

Learn about resources and networks to help first-generation students begin their journey at UW-Whitewater. This session is intended for incoming students who identify as first generation and their family members. Students are considered first generation if neither parent has earned a four-year degree.- Central Data Report. This session was offered on July 29.

Money Matters: Financial Tips for College Students

Managing money is challenging for most college students, and the choices made while in college can affect them for years to come. Representatives from the UW-W Financial Literacy Center and UW Credit Union shared college-specific financial tips related to budgeting, credit, student loans, and identity fraud. Join us as we share information to help our students make good financial decisions during their time at UW-Whitewater. This session was offered on August 4.

Center for Students with Disabilities

Learn how to apply for accommodations and use disability services in college (i.e. IEP plans, 504 plans). This session was offered on August 5.

Warhawk Families

This session provides parents and families of students attending the Whitewater campus with an overview of the First Year Experience programs and resources. This session was offered on August 6.

University Dining & HawkCard Office

Learn about meal plans, the HawkCard (student ID), dining options on campus, and more! This session was offered on t August 7.
