Departments may request a departmental email account (e.g. firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com) for business functions that require communications to be sent or received on behalf of a department or business unit. Departmental email accounts do not take the place of personal accounts and each departmental account must have a designated owner.
Departmental accounts receive 1GB of email storage and will receive a warning when they are within 100MB of their quota limit.
Employees requiring access to departmental accounts can have these accounts configured as additional mailboxes through Microsoft Outlook. Departmental accounts are also accessible via Outlook Web Access (OWA) at post.uww.edu.
