Smoking Policy (Policy #801)

Establishes guidelines for all university buildings and vehicles, which are owned or leased by UW-Whitewater, to be entirely smoke-free. Based on the policy, there is no use of lighted cigarettes, electronic cigarettes, cigars, pipes, any type of vaping, or other smoking materials in these spaces.

Fire Safety (Policy #802)

Provides restrictions for campus participants regarding the use of fires on university lands or in university facilities, including burning candles, incense, gas, and the use of charcoal cooking appliances.

Fire Drill (Policy #803)

Outlines the expectations for the safe and orderly evacuation of faculty, staff, employees, students, and visitors during fire drills, along with the frequency and purpose of this safety exercise.

Crisis Communication Plan (Policy #805)

Supports the administrative response to a crisis and provides essential direction to faculty, staff, and students with the goal of disseminating information accurately and responsively to interested constituencies and the general public.

Campus Violence (Policy #808)

Establishes a zero-tolerance policy for acts of violence, fear, harassment, and other forms of aggressive or intimidating behavior. All threat and incident reports will be taken seriously and thoroughly investigated.

Concealed Carry (Policy #810)

Establishes restrictions on the ability to carry weapons and/or firearms on UW-Whitewater’s property, in compliance with the 2011 Wisconsin Act 35.
