If you identify a gap in UW-Whitewater’s current policies, the Policy on Policies provides the required steps and documentation to begin the development or revision process.

The Policy Library is the official and most up-to-date source for all institutional-level policies at UW-Whitewater. It provides a centralized location where students, faculty, staff, and other campus stakeholders can easily find policies that guide the university’s daily operations and strategic direction.

Yes. All institutional-level policies are published in the Policy Library.

If you are looking for departmental policies or handbooks, please visit the Resources tab or refer to the specific department’s website.

Policies are organized by topic category.

For example, if you are a student looking for the Commitment to Academic Freedom and Freedom of Expression policy, select the Student Policies category. If you are unsure which category a policy falls under, open the Policies by Category page, scroll to the bottom, and click View All Policies.

The Policy on Policies establishes the standard process for developing, revising, and approving UW-Whitewater policies, procedures, and interim policies. It ensures that all policies and procedures remain up-to-date, consistent in format, and easily accessible to the campus community.
