Upward Bound Program - Summer 2023

Student Athletic Study Tables - Fall 2023

During the Fall 2023 semester, we partnered with several UW-Whitewater athletics teams in order to promote academic success amongst UW-W athletes.

UW-Whitewater Career Services “Resume Café” - Fall 2023

During the Fall 2023 semester, we partnered with UWW Career Services to host a “Resume Café”  in the Mary Poppe Chrisman Success Center. During this event, Success Center patrons and tutors presented their resumes to Career Services professionals for review and critique. This strengthened students’ professional presentation as well as provided Campus Tutorial Services employees with a broader skillset to pull from when assisting others with personal writing. UW-Whitewater Health and Counseling Services "Mental Health Matters" - Fall 2023

University Health and Counseling Services (UHCS) brought their “Mental Health Matters” presentation to the Mary Poppe Chrisman Student Success Center during the Fall 2023 semester. This presentation detailed healthcare resources available to all UW-Whitewater students, and the knowledge tutors gained during the presentation equipped them to better support both their own mental health as well as that of their clients. After the presentation, tutors actively discussed the material UCHS provided as part of a professional development opportunity.

Ongoing Tutor Training Days - Spring 2024

Campus Tutorial Services provides consistent training for tutors throughout each semester, which helps tutors not only gain experience and additional tutoring knowledge, but it also helps to build collaboration. Our training is structured for both individual- and group-based work, thus granting tutors a variety of methods for professional development. Our ongoing tutor training days provide tutors with CRLA and Master Tutor Seminar qualifications, as well as certification they can take with them after graduation.
