OPEN MEETINGS

Wisconsin’s Open Meetings Law embodies the principle that the public is entitled to the greatest possible information about government affairs. The law requires most government bodies to conduct official business in open meetings and to post in advance public notices of the meetings.

Two of UW-Whitewater’s core values speak to this cornerstone of transparency:

  • Integrity. We embrace principles of honesty, fairness, and ethical standards to foster an environment of mutual trust.
  • Shared governance. We make decisions based on strategy, evidence, and transparent, collegial dialogue and we hold one another accountable.

UW-Whitewater meeting agendas and faculty/staff review notices are posted online for easy access.
