Coordinator of Student-Veterans & Military Services


As the Coordinator of Student-Veterans & Military Services, Richard Harris is a six-year Army Veteran and graduate of UW-Whitewater with a degree in social work and has a Masters of Social Work degree from the USC School of Social Work with a concentration of Veterans & Military Families.  Richard is also licensed as an Certified Advanced Practice Social Worker by the State of Wisconsin.

Combined there are more than three-hundred veterans, military service members and their families currently enrolled on the UW-Whitewater and Rock County Campuses. In his role as Coordinator of Student Veterans and Military Services, Richard provides an array of critical support services to them as they transition from the military culture to the college campus. Richard's office on UW-Whitewater Campus is located at Roseman Hall, room 2011.  He can also be contacted at harrisr05@uww.edu or 262-472-5236.
