  • 2nd Annual UWW Curricular Innovation Conference, "AI in the Workplace,"  Friday, November 8, 2024 8:30am-2:00pm in UC 164 (Hamilton Room). REGISTER HERE. A key element of the UWW 2023-2028 Strategic Plan focuses on fostering and supporting curricular innovation by providing instructors opportunities for inspiration, collaboration, dialogue, co-design, and co-implementation of cutting edge curriculum. This year the 2nd Annual UWW Curricular Innovation Conference is focused on generative AI and has three main sessions:
    • Session 1: UWW units share ways in which AI has already been infused into the curriculum, or where AI curriculum is being proposed. The goal is to learn about the classes, certificates, and programs related to AI are already in the works across our two campuses in order to find and develop appropriate interdepartmental synergies.
    • Session 2: Alumni and outside experts from WI industries share how AI is impacting their industries and what AI skills and competencies they need from our graduates. From Public Relations and Marketing to Construction and Heath Care, AI is reshaping the WI workplace (access panelist bios here).
    • Session 3: Over a provided working lunch, explore curricular options for AI at UWW moving forward.  Do we want/need an AI council or committee to drive AI curricular adaptation?  What would AI interdisciplinary major/minor/certificates look like?  Would an AI Center be valuable?  How can we work together across disciplines to ensure all UWW students have the skills they need to succeed in an AI-infused workplace?
  • Warhawks Success Conference, Friday, February 14, 2025.  This conference is open to all UW-Whitewater staff and faculty and provides  oppotunities to learn strategies that support student success and increase cross-campus relationships and collaborations.  Sign up for the Warhawks Success Conference

This in-person conference held in the University Center invites staff and faculty to make connections and identify new strategies to promote student learning and success through a shared exploration of innovative teaching practices and research taking place across the university.
