Next Steps: Reserve Your Spot at UW-Whitewater!

Congratulations Warhawk! We are excited that you are ready to join the Warhawk Family. Your UW-Whitewater email address is the primary method we use to communicate with you, so be sure to check it often!

1. Start your housing contract

Please use your student ID number (located on your admissions letter) to gain access to the housing contract, available October 1, 2016. Due to the high demand for on-campus housing, we recommend you submit your signed housing contract along with the $125 housing deposit as soon as possible. You will have the opportunity to select a Learning Community on March 1, 2017 and you'll be matched with a roommate at a later date.

2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)

The FAFSA is available at starting October 1, 2016, with a priority deadline of January 1, 2017. If you complete the FAFSA prior to January 1, your award letter will be mailed in March.

3. Register for placement testing

Registration for the University of Wisconsin System placement testing begins February 1, 2017. All incoming freshmen are required to take a Math Placement Test (MPT) to determine their initial math placement. Students who do not take the MPT will not be able to register for a math course or a course with a math prerequisite. We recommend that all students with previous foreign language coursework (Spanish, German or French) take the appropriate placement test(s). You'll be placed in English based on your ACT/SAT sub-score or previous college-level coursework. Please visit the Center for Placement Testing for more information:

4. Register for Plan-It Purple and pay the enrollment deposit

Registration for our Plan-It Purple registration and advising program is REQUIRED for all new students. For fall 2017 incoming students, registration begins March 1, 2017. Once you have committed to attending UW-Whitewater, please log into your WINS account to complete your registration. At this time, new students will pay a NON-REFUNDABLE New Student Fee and a one-time enrollment deposit. Please visit First Year Experience for more information:
