Please be sure to start using your email address effective at the time of admission! First time users should complete the following steps to log in to email. First Time Users for Password Management. Your Net-ID allows you to access most services on campus. Before you can use your Net-ID, you must create a password and provide answers to a set of challenge questions. To begin, login with the Net-ID you have been assigned and a default password. If you don’t know your Net-ID, use What is my Net-ID?  Your initial password is your 7-digit ID number. Once you have completed this process, be sure to click "Logout" at the top of the screen. 1. Fill Out the Housing Contract: First Portion Available October 1, 2014

Use your student ID number (located on your admissions letter) to gain access to the housing contract. The first section of the contract, which includes profile information and room preferences, is available starting October 1, 2014. Housing assignments are based on the date of contract submission. Be sure to pay the $125 housing deposit. Learning Community selection and roommate matching will occur at a later date.

2. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA): Available January 1, 2015

The FAFSA is available for filing January 1, 2015 with a priority of March 1, 2015. Students who have fully completed the FAFSA prior to March 1, 2015 will have their award letter mailed in April. Information from the FAFSA is used to determine eligibility for institutional, federal and state financial aid programs including grants, scholarships, student loans and college work-study.

3. Register for Plan-It-Purple: Registration begins March 1, 2015

This registration and advising program is for all new students. Please submit ACT or SAT scores and take the UW System Math Placement Test prior to attending. Plan-It Purple takes place in June and July. Registration begins March 1, 2015.

4. Pay Enrollment Deposit.

New undergraduate students are required to pay a one-time $100 enrollment deposit. Please pay this deposit prior to attending your Plan-It Purple program.

5. Take Placement Test(s): Open February 1, 2015

It is strongly recommended that students take the UW System Math Placement Test prior to attending Plan-It Purple, as students will be unable to register for a math course if the exam has not been taken. Additionally, it is recommended that all students with previous foreign language course work take the appropriate placement test(s).

Beginning February 1st, 2015, students can register for UW placement tests. Testing will be offered at all UW campuses and a few sites in Illinois and Minnesota. The testing window will go from mid-March to late August. 

Students can visit the UW System Center for Placement Testing for more information. 

Transfer students that need placement testing should contact the UW-Whitewater Testing Office at 262-472-5613.
