POLICY FOR SPONSORSHIP OF CAMPS, CONFERENCES AND MEETINGS

Source: Office of the Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs

The University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, through its office of Continuing Education and Outreach, adheres to a policy of making resources, services and facilities available for camps, conferences, and public presentations designed to enrich the educational opportunities of its students, faculty and staff and to provide the public with a forum for the free and responsible exchange of ideas, philosophies and positions.

When the University, for the purposes stated above, makes such educational opportunities and resources available, it neither endorses or opposes the views of the sponsoring organizations nor those participating in such events.

The purpose of this policy is to provide a forum for the uncensored exchange of ideas, issues and divergent view points.

In view of this neutral position, the word sponsor, when used by other organizations, is to indicate assistance in coordination of the event and should not be interpreted as formal endorsement of the event by the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
