Scholarship checks are treated like financial aid and require additional time to process. Please submit scholarship checks to UW-Whitewater Cashier's Office using the form in this link at least 10 days before the term due date. Keep in mind that scholarships may have an impact on the amount of financial aid awarded. Please contact your financial aid advisor with questions at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If a private scholarship check requires a student's signature, the Cashier's Office will send an email to the student's UW-Whitewater email account. The check cannot be processed until signed, so this will delay the processing. Scholarships are financial aid and will be applied to the student's account. If an overpayment occurs, a refund will be processed for the student.
All UW-Whitewater Foundation Scholarships will automatically credit to a student's account. Please note that full-time enrollment (at least 12 credits for undergraduates) is necessary for most Foundation Scholarships.
Students are responsible for timely payment of their student bills even if scholarships are expected, but not yet processed.
