Kiel has worked with a variety of museums and other public history institutions, including the Peabody Museum of Archaeology and Ethnology at Harvard University, the National Park Service, the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of the American Indian, the Milwaukee Public Museum and the Oneida Nation Museum.
