ATTENTION:

The Department of Accounting at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater is seeking a highly motivated professional in the field of Accounting for academic staff positions. This is a full-time fixed-term nine-month appointment commencing in August 2022. Salary is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. Areas of teaching may include any area of accounting, depending on the needs of the department. Courses will only be taught in the undergraduate program. We offer courses in financial, managerial and tax accounting, accounting systems, auditing, nonprofit accounting, and accounting technology. Teaching load is 4 classes per semester. Office hours and service commitments are also required.

Academic staff positions are provided fixed term appointments with annual renewals unless otherwise noted. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon performance, university funding and external forces.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in accounting or a related field and professional experience in accounting

Desired Qualifications:

  • Professional licensure (CPA)
  • Prior teaching experience

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

  • Willingness and ability to be an active participant in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills
  • Ability to interact respectfully with people from diverse socioeconomic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Teaching four courses per semester in our undergraduate program
  2. Providing service to the department and the college.
  3. On-campus and online teaching are both possible.
  4. Service may include committee work and/or student organization advising.
