ATTENTION:

The Academic Advising & Exploration Center at the University of Wisconsin Whitewater is seeking a Navigate Administrator (Data Reporting Specialist, AE016). 

 

Academic staff positions are provided fixed term appointments with annual renewals unless otherwise noted. Reappointment for subsequent terms is dependent upon performance, university funding and external forces. One position is commensurate with continued grant funding.

JOB DETAILS:

The Navigate Administrator is responsible for supporting the success of students by coordinating the campus wide use of the Navigate system. In partnership with the Assistant Director of the AAEC, they are responsible for analyzing data, planning interventions, and creating reports to guide strategic decision-making. This position would also ensure that analytics are shared with campus partners to promote timely and targeted interventions, and expand the effectiveness of guiding students through pivotal moments. The Navigate Administrator is also responsible for coordinating the alerts and cases process, running and disseminating reports to campus units, managing the student app, responding to the Navigate email account, and assisting with troubleshooting user issues.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree (by start date)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: 

  • Commitment to a student-centered approach with the ability to work with a diverse population
  • Demonstration of excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of PeopleSoft and EAB Navigate preferred

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Student & Campus Support (50%)

1.  Coordinate the alerts and cases outreach process involving students experiencing academic and/or personal challenges to their success

2.  Manage Navigate Student app to-dos, tips, resources, events, and general content

3.  Facilitate the onboarding of new departments and campus partners to align their needs with Navigate capabilities

4.  Provide ongoing training to the campus community related to software updates and enhancements

5.  Deliver training to new platform users

Data Analysis & Reporting (45%)

1.     Input, maintain, and analyze data in confidential databases and transfer data as needed

2.     Generate data-based annual reports of curricular and departmental outcomes

3.     Provide expert statistical consulting, analysis, and technical assistance on research projects, program assessment, and evaluation

Miscellaneous (5%): 

1.     Monitor the Navigate email account

2.     Serve on department, division, or university committees

3.     Actively participate in following applicable safety rules and regulations including necessary training and drills

4.     Perform other duties as assigned
