Community-Based Learning

We offer the following opportunities to get involved in Community-Based Learning. Please contact us at cbl@uww.edu for more information on upcoming events!

Community Breakfasts: We host one CBL community breakfast per semester. Organized around a theme, community partners and UWW faculty/staff have the opportunity to come together to lay the foundation for future CBL partnerships. Watch the newsletter for more information!

Community Partner Tours: We run one CBL community tour each August during our Faculty Orientation Week (end of August). Focused primarily on introducing new faculty and academic staff to CBL, we invite a group of 12-15 faculty and staff to tour 3-4 local and regional community agencies to learn about partnership opportunities. We are always looking for host agencies, so please contact us at cbl@uww.edu if you would like to be a tour stop in the future!

LEARN Center Events: Each semester, CBL practitioners and experts in the field hold a LEARN Center workshop focused around one aspect of community-based learning. Contact us for more information at cbl@uww.edu, or see the LEARN Center Event calendar for more information.

Community-Based Learning Newsletters: Each semester, we send out a newsletter with detailed information about our CBL-related events, news, partner spotlights, and more! We also encourage you to consider signing up to receive the Wisconsin Campus Compact newsletter to receive information on funding opportunities and upcoming CBL-related events in our region.
