As Professional Development Coordinator for the Center for Inclusive Transition, Education & Employment, Carole Carlson coordinates the various grant-related professional development activities, including its annual Now Is the Time Conference and Youth Empowered Solutions approach.
Carole previously worked at the Institute for Community Inclusion at the University of Massachusetts-Boston providing training and technical assistance for grant initiatives. She developed a unique collaborative inquiry professional development model that included the co-development of tools, publications and training modules by and for education and human service practitioners.This model has received attention from stakeholders interested in using more active forms of professional development for their staff and faculty.
Carole has over 19 years of experience working with young adults and adults with a variety of life challenges and their families, supporting them to build enviable lives of connection, learning and purpose. She received her Bachelor of Science in Sociology – Human Services and Master of Arts in Education – Adult Learning from Edgewood College in Madison, WI.
