Academic Freedom and Responsible Pedagogy Workshop

Friday, April 19th, 10-11:30 am, Community Engagement Center, Room 105

In continuing LEARN Center’s 2023-24 Academic Freedom (AF) Programming, join us for an empowering hands-on workshop exploring mini- and live-cases from our campus and surrounding communities. In this interactive workshop facilitated by experts on AF, we will focus on the teaching approaches that promote AF in our educational spaces. Participants will delve into AF’s principles and importance, applying a multi-disciplinary and contextual perspective. The session will also explore the challenges and nuances associated with upholding AF, given the dual priorities of inclusion and free expression. Please register if you are passionate about fostering critical thinking, open dialogue, and intellectual exploration.
