Trainings and Guidance

Training in the fundamentals of Export Control is available through CITI at no charge to UW-W affiliates.  The Export Compliance (EC) Basic course provides an overview of export compliance regulations along with information specifically tailored for certain roles and responsibilities.

To take the course, access CITI through the icon on this or any ORSP page and create a CITI account.  Once you have an account, log in and select My Courses at the top of the page. 

Under Institutional Courses, click on UW-Whitewater.

At the bottom of the page in the “Learner Tools for University of Wisconsin-Whitewater,” click on the first bulleted item: Add a Course.

At the bottom of the page in “Export Compliance,” select “Export Controls” and hit submit.  You will advance to a page where “Courses Ready to Begin” will include Export Controls.  Hit “Start Now” and complete the course.
