SFC Christopher Mueller

SFC Mueller enlisted in the Army with the MOS 11B (Infantry) in March 2006. After Completing One Station Unit Training at Ft Benning, Georgia he was assigned to Able Company, 1rd Battalion, 9th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division in Fort Carson, Colorado. He performed duties as a junior enlisted Soldier to include a grenadier and machine gunner. He deployed to the National Training Center, and subsequently in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom in September 2006 for 15 months to Ar Ramadi, Iraq. 

Upon redeploying to Fort Carson, Colorado in Decemeber 2007, SFC Mueller continued his duties with Able Company, 1-9 IN, with his unit quickly reflagged as Alpha Company, 1st Battalion, 12th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade, 4th Infantry Division. He attended Basic Leader's Course and was promoted to Sergeant. He deployed to the Joint Readiness Training Center, and in support of Operation Enduring Freedom from May 2009 to Jun 2010, to the Kandahar Province in Afghanistan as a Fire Team Leader. SFC Mueller was then promoted to Staff Sergeant and attended Advanced Leader's Course. He deployed again to the Joint Readiness Training Center and then to the Kunar Province in Afghanistian from March 2012 to December 2012 as a Squad Leader.

After SFC Mueller's redeployment back to Fort Carson, CO, he was selected to attend Drill Sergeant School at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. After Drill Sergeant School he was assigned to Fox Company, 1st Battalion, 50th Infantry Regiment, 198th Brigade at Fort Benning, Georgia. There he trained over 1600 Basic Trainees to become Infantryman in the United States Army as a Drill Sergeant and Senior Drill Sergeant from September 2013 to March 2016. While at Fort Benning he also attended Pathfinder School, Airborne School, and Master Fitness Trainer.

SFC Mueller was then reassigned to Lightning Troop, 3rd Squadron, 2nd Calvalry Regiment at Rose Barracks, Germany. There he attended Senior Leader's Course, was promoted to Sergeant First Class, and served as a Platoon Sergeant from March 2013 - March 2016. He deployed to the Joint Multinational Training Center and multiple training deployments including Poland, Lithuania, Georgia, and Israel throughout his time assigned in Germany.  Upon completion of his tour in Germany,  he was assigned as a Military Science Instructor at the University of Wisconsin - Madison, and primarily instructs at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. There he also completed Master Educator's Course.

SFC Mueller's awards include the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (4 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal, the National Defense Service Ribbon, the Iraqi Campaign Medal (w/2 Campaign Stars ), the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Non-Commissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon, the Army Service Ribbon, the Oversees Service Ribbon (Numeral 4), the NATO award, the Navy Unit Citation, the Meritorious Unit Citation (1OLC), the Combat Infantry Badge, the Expert Infantry Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Basic Parachutist Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, Expert Marksmanship Badge. SFC Mueller has his Associate's degree in applied science from Thomas Jefferson University, a professional cetificate in organizational leadership from Western Kentucky University, and is currently trying to earn a Bachelor's Degree in Special Education at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. SFC Mueller is married, and has two children.
