Google Drive is the supported campus solution for online document creation and collaboration. UW-Whitewater DOES NOT advise students to sign up for One Drive for educational purposes. Yes, this is full Office on the PC and is available for offline use. However, students must connect to the Internet once every 30 days to verify they are still eligible for the program (only enrolled students).
Word 2013, Excel 2013, PowerPoint 2013, OneNote 2013, Access 2013, Publisher 2013, and Outlook 2013. Lync 2013, InfoPath 2013, and Skype for Business were not activated in UW-Whitewater's license. If you click on Lync, it will auto start when you turn on your PC.
To Disable Lync AutoStart:
Access to Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus will continue long as you are actively enrolled in classes at UW-Whitewater. When you are no longer eligible, you will still be able to access and print your files, However, you will not be able to install new instances of Office 365 ProPlus and you will not be able to create/save/edit your files. You have the option of purchasing Office 365 ProPlus directly from Microsoft, or through OnTheHub.
