WCASA (Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault)

Madison, WI 53703 WCASA was incorporated in '85 in response to the need to create a statewide organization to support and complement the work of the community - based sexual assault service providers that had sprung up across the state in the late 1970's and early 1980's.

These service providers were actively working to offer intervention services to victims, such as 24-hour crisis lines, medical accompaniments to emergency rooms, legal advocacy, support groups, and one-to-one peer counseling and were striving to educate their communities on the realitites of sexual violence and strategies for its prevention.
