Senior Outcomes Assessment Survey

The SOAS is a web-based survey of the undergraduate experience at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater. It is sent to all graduating seniors in the semester in which they apply for graduation. Unlike the NSSE, the SOAS asks students to comment on several specific aspects of their UW-Whitewater experience, including their general satisfaction with the academic preparation their UW-Whitewater education provided. It also contains specific questions regarding students' experiences in their major field.

About the SOAS

The SOAS was launched in 2009 as part of an effort to better understand students' experiences at UW-Whitewater and to identify ways in which the University can improve. It was redesigned in 2013 to better assess the level of preparation that the UW-Whitewater provides students and the importance of various skills to graduating students.

The Office of Academic Assessment is responsible for designing, administering and evaluating the results of these surveys. Responses are gathered twice per year (December and May). Survey results are analyzed and published on an annual basis.
