UW-Whitewater Rankings
University of Wisconsin-Whitewater has spent the last 150 years inspiring, engaging and transforming lives, and takes pride in the recognitions earned along the way. Our championship tradition extends from our NCAA Division III athletics to our award-winning sustainability initiatives.
IRP provides data to the United States Department of Education and a variety of other organizations that compile profiles, guidebooks, and rankings. There is variation in the methodologies for each ranking, including data collected from publically available sources (such as IPEDS).
Rankings are based on variables that the organizations performing the rankings believe are important or reflect quality. There is no universal set of variables or data used for these publications, therefore an institution can appear near the top of one ranking list, while appearing far from the top on another.
There has been a proliferation of rankings in recent years. Below are the institution-wide rankings that UW-W views as important to participate in and which are used in marketing. There are many other “lists” and “rankings” in which UW-W may appear.

A leader in serving students with disabilitiesUW-Whitewater is a national leader in its commitment to serving students with disabilities. For 50 years this commitment has been evident in the university's core values, and is continually fostered through efforts such as the university's Strategic Plan, sustainable funding, and institutional policies that require universal design standards campus-wide. These efforts, as well as bridging community barriers through summer camps and disability awareness programs, and employment programming to assist students with transitioning after college, have resulted in recognition for UW-W's commitment and attraction for students with disabilities nationwide. |
Warhawk AthleticsThe UW-Whitewater Warhawks have much to celebrate. In 2014, UW-Whitewater made history as the first NCAA institution to win national championships in men's football, basketball, and baseball in a single year; the Gymnastics team also brought home a national championship in the same year.
