UW-Whitewater Policies

UW-Whitewater is dedicated to providing clear and consistent guidance to students, faculty, staff, and campus partners. To support this commitment, the university maintains the Policy Library, which serves as the single, up-to-date resource for all institution-level policies.

Some policies and procedures are developed and maintained at the departmental level and therefore do not appear in the Policy Library. To locate these materials, visit the Resources page or the respective department’s website.

If you identify a gap within the university’s policies, please refer to the Policy on Policies to learn about the process of developing, revising, or rescinding a policy. You may also schedule a consultation meeting with the Office of Compliance and Risk Management by completing the Policy Consultation Meeting Request Form.

Children’s Center Employee Child Care Tuition Discount (Policy #352)

Policy Approved: September 14, 2026

This policy defines the availability and eligibility requirements for a child care services discount provided to eligible UW-Whitewater Children's Center employees.

Use of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) on University Property (Policy #722)

Policy Approved: September 14, 2026

This policy establishes minimal requirements for the safe operation of unmanned aircraft systems (UAS) / drones at UW-Whitewater (UWW), which includes compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and state laws.

Recently Rescinded Policies

Camps, Conferences, and Meetings Sponsorship (UWW #021)

Rescission Approved: September 10, 2026

The previous institutional policy on Camps, Conferences, and Meetings Sponsorship has been rescinded.  This policy outlined the University's position regarding event sponsorship.  While the University's position remains the same, that information has been moved out of a policy document.
