Event Information
Parking
Parking will be available to registered attendees free of charge. Registrants will receive an email one week before the event with parking instructions. This year, we will not be providing printed passes. Instead, you will need to complete the online vehicle registration prior to the event. The registration uses your license plate information as a parking pass so that you can park on campus for free for both days of the event.
Please park in the commuter lots (orange or brown) as designated on the parking map below. We suggest parking in lots 12 and 14 since they are the closest to the University Center, where the event is being held. Be sure to only park in stalls that have no signs stating Passport, No Parking, or Restricted.
If you register a vehicle online but end up bringing a different one to the event, please call our Parking Services office so that they can update your information to aviod any tickets.
Parking Services: (262) 472-1011
We will have staff available throughout the day to help with building directions as well as assistance with any transportation needs. If you have questions, please email us at nowisthetime@uww.edu.

Sustainability
x
To promote equity and justice, we at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater’s Center for Inclusive Transition, Education & Employment (CITEE), strive to lessen our environmental impact.
Focusing on the health and well-being of those we serve includes refining our environmental and ecological practices.
“Intersectional environmentalism acknowledges the overlap between systemic harm against Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) communities and the Earth.
The movement also recognizes the disproportionate effects of climate change on other marginalized groups, including people with disabilities as well as women and gender minorities.”
- Leah Thomas, Intersectional Environmentalist
Intersectional Environmentalist, a 501(c)(3), is a climate justice collective radically imagining a more equitable and diverse future of environmentalism.
CITEE is reducing its ecological impact by:
- Reducing branded materials or “swag,” while still providing options for focus and sensory regulation.
- Providing resources and materials electronically
- This also creates access for people who use large font and screen reader
- Those without digital access or who prefer printed materials, please speak with a CITEE team member
Please join us in reducing your impact by:
- Bringing your own items, when possible (e.g):
- Reusable water bottles, pens, paper, fidgets, etc.
- Using any ID badge or name tag you currently have
- We will have limited quantities of blank name tags, if needed
- Ridesharing or carpooling
“Everyone’s fate is bound to the fate of our planet and we have a shared responsibility in the mission to protect our only home.”
-Jackie Zamora, Climate Activist
