What do I need to do to be a successful learner?

  • Commit 6 to 9 hours per week for each 3 unit course.
  • Practice excellent time management skills.
  • Get to know your professors and students in your courses.
  • Plan carefully and study when you are most alert.
  • Be willing to ask questions and get help when needed.
  • Have diligence, perseverance, and tenacity. Don’t give up!

What kind of online communication skills do I need?

To succeed at UW-Whitewater, you must be comfortable working and communicating online when required. Netiquette is network etiquette: the do's and don'ts of online communication. Netiquette covers both common courtesy online and the informal rules of the road of cyberspace. For more information, click here.
